The first record of the village comes from 1317. It was a part of Humenné Domain of the Drugeth Family. The manor-house from the 18th century has been preserved. It was increased in the 19th century with an old historical park. The square includes the Russian Church in the Old Russian historicist style. In the building of reconstructed Council-House there is the Tourist hostel that provides the accommodation in 2- and 3-bedded bedrooms.
