The village Martinček is 6 km distant from the town Ružomberok.
In 1914 the village parcels uncovered 14 bronze swords from the Bronze Age at Hlinisko. The oldest cultural landmark in the village is the St. Martin’s Church. Our visitors of the church are attracted to the wooden canopies (so called dášky), which are located on the hill around the church. Quite 35 pieces of them are here. The village has its own municipality office, kindergarten, library, shop, and football and basketball playground, accommodation services. Tourist lovers can climb to the Choč Mount.
